My Garmin Gps 40 Handheld Personal Navigator Will Not Aquire 3 Satellites To Establish Its Position.?

Garmin Gps Can No Longer See Map Details, Why?
Ok; so on my gps it see 's the satellite and the little car sits on a blank screen with a ? on it. it doesn 't see the nearest street location. have tried typing in locations and even different cities, favorites,,and even system restore defaults but nothing seems to work to get map back on screen. has anyone else had this problem? if so how do you fix it? as am to the point where i want to throw it out after i take a hammer to it rrrrrrrrrrrrrr ..... please help i find it strange that after paying all that $ for it, the maps are no longer visible after a couple of years.?????
